Dear  flyinggarupa,

I received your letter a week ago. I am sorry, I could not write to you earlier as I was out of station. During the winter break, I had a chance to visit Mumbai along with my father. I hope, my description of the visit of that great city will be a source of pleasure for you too.

It was my first visit to Mumbai. We stayed there with a friend of my father. He was a kind host. He took me round some important places of the city. Mumbai is really a very big city. The streets of Mumbai are full, of the crowds of people. There is such great rush-of traffic that at first I felt quite confused.

Mumbai is a city of fine streets. I liked the Elephanta Caves most of all. On one side it is lined by old carvings and stalls on the other where large numbers of people assemble to spend their sweet moments with family.

In Mumbai there are many places worth-seeing. I saw Juhu Beach,  Kamala Nehru Park , Madh Island , Mahakali Caves , Malabar Hill , Marve Beach , Nariman Point , Priyadarshini Park and Sports Complex , Dhobi Ghat , Bombay High Court , Mumba Devi Temple , Mumbai Port Trust Garden , Nehru Centre , Nehru Science Centre, Victoria Gardens or Jijamata Udyan ,  Worli Sea Face ,  Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum,   Sanjay Gandhi National Park ,  Bombay Natural History Society ,  Nehru Planetarium ,  Colaba ,  Indian Museum Ship Vikrant,   Mahalakshmi Temple , Alibag  and so much more and had a very pleasant time in Mumbai. It is really a fine city in India. I am sure, my description of the city will tempt you to visit Calcutta very soon.

My earnest regards for uncle and aunt with love.

Yours ever,

Aswin
