AN OPEN LETTER TO OUR MOTHERLAND

DEAR INDIA,

As we are moving towards our 69th Republic Day, we want to salute you for standing strong and giving us the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful spirit called India. It’s been an exciting journey and we’ve come a long way being the longest running democracy in the world. We know that we have a lot of problems, we are still struggling, and we’ve made a lot of mistakes. But between all the negative news and political drama,you’ve gone through, we have somehow forgotten that you as a nation, still stands tall and has much more potential than we think you have.

As Albert Einstein once said, “We owe a lot to the Indians, who taught us how to count, without which no worthwhile scientific discovery could have been made”. Today, as we stand at the cusp of another year, we want to appreciate all the wonderful achievements in the past decades and recall the moments when we have felt immense pride in calling ourselves ‘Indians’.

Letter to the Motherland :

{ Postal address to be written here }

Dear Motherland,

    I feel glad and blessed while writing this beautiful letter to you which consists of all my feelings towards you.

    "Bharatbarsha" is the name of my country which is popularly known as "India" in its English term. Is it sad? No. It is not. It shows that how great Mother India is to love all languages on earth.

    The blessing that shower upon me and all my brothers and sisters from India is like the nectar of the Heaven. By drinking this sweet nectar, we prosper and we grow in life. We enjoy the beauty of the rising sun and the energy, the light to push away the darkness, we get from it are all the blessings of yours. The river that flows; the wind that blows are all yours. The sweet fruits in the trees to feed us is the kindness of yours, O'Mother! The herbs in the jungles to cure the diseased are all yours, Dear Motherland. The sweet breeze of the Summer that blows to cool the weather is all yours. The birds that sing the beautiful rhythms of Paradise are all yours.

    The country which was shattered by the attacks of the millions from ages to ages is standing still and developing to become one of the greatest countries in the world. The minerals, the iron, the steel, the water in the rivers and all because of these, we are waking up in the morning to start a new day.

    O' Motherland, you have taught me the meaning of integrity among men of a country where blood flows and beats the heart in a single chorus of "Jana Gana Mana Adhinayak Jaya Hai".

    You have taught me universal acceptance and you have given me the strength of toleration. You have showed me the path to choose wisely which benifits the mankind. You have made me kind and good to all.

    In the field of science and Mathematics, you have blessed us with Aryabhatta, Brahmagupta, Satyendranath Bose, Jagadish Chandra Basu, C. R. Rao, P. C. Mahalanobis, Srinivasa Ramanujan, C. V. Raman, A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, Vikram Sarabhai, and many more. You have blesses with the greatest humans walking on earth, like Sri Ramakrishna, Swami Vivekanada, Netaji Subhas Bose, Gandhiji, A. P. J. Abdul Kalam and many more. You have blessed us with Khana, Amrita Devi and many more mothers. We are proud that Rabi Thakur was a nobel laureate among us. There is no end of achievements for this country. O' Mother, all they are your children.

    Today, in this moment, I do a promise that I will never let anyone down the glory of this beautiful country. I will try my best to do something for my dear Motherland. I will glorify this beautiful Heaven. Thank you, Mother for being the Mother of all living beings.

         From, A true Indian.
