The Principal,

(College Address)

Sir,

I take the liberty to invite your immediate attention, to the need for improvement in the working of our college library.

Our college library is in disarray. There is no proper arrangement of light and air. Dust accumulates on shelves. Fans are not in working order. The furniture is insufficient, quite old and mostly broken.

Non-availability of books is a chronic problem, moreover, the books are quiet old and unsuitable for the present times.

Most of the books only exist in the stock register, but are always missing from the shelves. Perhaps the librarian himself does not know about their whereabouts.

Moreover, the library staff is not at all cooperative. They never take the trouble to issue the wanted books to the needy students. They receive them with the word ‘no’.
