Dear Mother:
I hope this letter finds you in the best of your health and
spirits. I am writing to you to share with you my daily routine. Well, the
hostel life is quite different from home life. No doubt it is strict, but it is
strict with a purpose. Each and every activity at boarding school is framed
keeping in mind the holistic development of children.
We are roused at 5: 00 a.m. sharp. After doing the ablutions
and basic cleanliness, we are taken to the ground for rigorous morning workout.
We reach back our dormitories at 6: a.m.
We are given 30 minutes to get ready for breakfast. At 7:00 a.m. sharp we enter
the school mess for breakfast. Then from 7:30 a.m. to 8: 15 a.m. we have our
morning prep. We reach the school at 8:30 a.m. There is regular study till 1:30
p.m.
At 1:40 p.m. we are served lunch at the mess. From 2:00 p.m.
to 3:00 p.m. we are allowed to rest and relax. At 3:30 p.m. we take our tea and
at sharp 3:45 p.m. we have our two preps till 5:00 p.m. At 5:15 we have to go
to the grounds where we play our favorite games. We play until 6:30 p.m.
We are served dinner at 7:15 p.m. From 7:45 to 9:00 p.m. we
are allowed to watch TV. At 9:10 we have our reading prep in which we read classic
books. These days I am reading Harry Potter series. I am enjoying my hostel
life; but I miss you all. That’s all from my side. I am excited to see you next
week. Lots of love to Papa, Granny, Grandpa, and Teena.
Yours lovingly,
Sonu
