Sir
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I wish to draw your attention towards the evaluation system which is prevalent these days in all the schools. The evaluation is done round the year through some short pen-paper tests and project work. The students feel burdened with the project work that is given in all the subjects. Sometimes, the students can’t appear in the short tests due to their illness or some family functions, but their absence affects their result. On the other hand, two pen-paper tests help the teachers to find out the weak areas of a particular child and thus, can help them in improving that particular area or subject. I hope that you will publish this letter in your newspaper so that the concerned authorities give it a thought again and take the decision accordingly
