Sub: deteriorating standard of living in Agra city .

Dear Sir /Mam

Through the columns of your reputed newspaper, I wish to express my views on the deteriorating standard of living in the Agra city.

What does the standard of living actually mean? Does it mean possessing expensive goods of comfort and beauty, living in posh bungalows or the overall decent and pollution free environment,a value based society.

The living condition in Agra are really appalling, dumps of garbage, heavy traffic congestion on the roads, growing atmospheric pollution, high levels of noise pollution , overcrowding at public places etc. Throw ample light of deterioration in the people's standard of living. Our lungs are hungry for fresh air and fresh belts.

The large number of immigrants, from other state to Agra, put tremendous pressure on the resources of the city. The housing problem is growing rapidly with the lack of civic amenities. The life is so busy that there is little interaction among Neighbours. Hurry and worry is what best describes the life in the Agra city. With growing consumerism and rising prices, the disparity between rich and poor is increasing day by day. Something judicious needs to be done to remedy this situation. More green belts and 'silence zones' should be created. The unrestricted inflow of people to Agra should also be checked. Only then the standard of living can be improved.

Thank you!

Yours truly

Krishna

Respected sir,

Subject; An appeal on the deterioration in the standard of living in the city.

With the esteemed column of your leading newspaper, I would like to bring it to the administrator's notice about the poor conditions of the households in Agra. The standard of living is so poor that the residents are departing and moving to exile areas and this number has been increasing tremendously for the past five months.

The reason for these poor households and livelihoods is the improper maintenance of society. Dumps of garbage and plastic are what seen everywhere as they occupy the base of the problem. The municipality cooperation truck which is responsible for maintaining sanitation is not doing its job properly. Other reasons are the heavy traffic and the air pollution caused by it. These vehicles also produce a huge amount of noise. I had become a slum with overpopulation and confined space.

Hence, with due respect, I would like to request you to kindly publish this appeal in a column of your newspaper. I would be thankful if your suggestions are added.

Yours respectfully
