Sir,
Kindly allow me to ventilate my views regarding the harm being done by the cell phone to the students, in your esteemed daily.
There is no denying the fact that the 21st century is an age of Information Technology and of late there has been an explosion in its global proliferation. And India has not lagged behind to ride this wave-though it is a boon for the society but certain aspects of it are decidedly harmful. Take the case of cell phones. While this telecommunication revolution has made communication very easy and made base telephony redundant, it has also created many hazards. Not to speak of traffic hazards, it has taken the student community by storm. You can observe students of all ages flaunting their cell phones at every pretext. This virus has even entered the classrooms. The students pay less attention to their lectures but more to cell phone-talk with their girl-friends/boy-friends. Even while driving their vehicles they are seen absorbed in their cell phonic talk. So it invites many accidents. Even in the exams the students are misusing the cell phones for getting answers.
This trend is quite harmful for students and does not bode good. This menace should be nipped in the bud. The parents and teachers should take proper immediate remedial measures before it is too late.
Yours truly,
ABC.
