Sub: Poor sanitation in the Gorabazar area

Sir,

We, the residents of this locality, are facing a grave danger to our health and lives. We are writing to you to express our dissent about the poor sanitation in our area. We would be grateful to you if you would publish this letter in full. The drains are open and allow the free passage of filth to contaminate the well in every rain. The stench is unbearable and everyone has to cover their nose while passing through the alley. The problem appears to be the indifference of the civic staff who take no interest in keeping the surroundings clean. People also use heaps for throwing out rge garbage, blocking drains, and causing a health hazard.

I strongly urge you to look into the matter and do the needful at the earliest, as a delay in this regard may render thousands of people prone to various diseases.
