Dear Editor
I would like to draw attention of the municipal authorities towards the scarcity of water in our locality. In our locality, there is no fixed time for the supply of water. Sometimes the water is not supplied at all, consecutively for four-five days, while other times it is for a very short time.
Moreover, the water is dirty, muddy and polluted and worms can be seen the floating in the water. Although several complaints were made to the municipality but they have fallen on deaf ears of the authorities. The authorities nave not yet taken any concrete steps to solve our water problem.
I shall be thankful to you if our complaints is published in the columns of your esteemed daily.

Subject: Complaint regarding shortage of water

Sir

I would like to draw your kind attention towards the problem of acute shortage of water faced by the residents of ABC Society. We write this letter in hope of being able to use your support and help to create awareness and make the Municipal Corporations do what they are supposed to. 

This problem of water shortage has been a result of several problems. Unfortunately over exploitation of this precious water resource has been a major cause too. It is the need for the hour, certainly, to create awareness among people about the need to save water. 

Being a responsible citizen of our nation, I write to you this letter on behalf of all those people who are deprived of this resource for quite a time now. Your actions can make a big contribution in waking up the Municipal corporations and serving our plights.
