Subject: Troubles faced by public during Dharnas, Protests, Demonstrations and strikes
Sir:
I am writing this letter to express my concern over the problem of Dharna and strikes. The people who suffer the most with Dharna and strikes are the common people. Some of the many demerits of Strikes, Banhs, and Blockades are given below:
1.The general flow of life is stopped. Vehicles, transportation system is halted.
2.People face inconvenience.
3.Supply of essential goods and services is affected.
4.Sick people or critically ill people can’t be moved from one place to another.
5.Production of essential goods is affected.
6.Public property is damaged.
7.Schools, colleges, and universities are shut down.
8.The poor people who earn their wages on daily basis don’t get work and wages
Through the medium of your esteemed daily I appeal to people and the Government to join hands against Dharnas and strikes. If they have anything to protest they may do it peacefully, without resorting to violence, damaging public property, etc. The Government must also make strict rules and regulations against violent Dharnas and strikes.
Thanking you.
Yours truly,
Smabhav

Subject: The disturbance of protests and demonstrations.
Sir,
Through your esteemed newspaper I would like to express my deep concern about the increasing protests and demonstrations which result in disturbance and many inconveniences.
Nowadays it has become a normal thing for any union or organization to stage protests and demonstrations against almost anything. This trend must stop because it causes inconvenience to the general public. During such protests and demonstrations shops are closed leading to financial lost in commercial activities. Streets and roads blocked are violent protestors and we are left helpless under such situations. Law and order in our cities and towns deteriorate as the entire city become the hostage of the protestors.
I am a student aspiring to become a doctor. During the recent protest in the city I could not go outdoor and missed my entrance examination. I am feeling very upset because this has frustrated my ambition in life. There is no way of recovering the long hours I spent preparing for the entrance examination. I feel sorry for my parents because they have sacrificed their hard earned money for my career.
People need to think about the sick people who must be taken to a hospital or buy medicines. Schools and colleges are closed and the syllabus cannot be completed. Lots of shouting and violence leading to injuries and even lost of precious life happen. Much destruction to properties also take place.
The government must come up with a strong legislation to ban protests and demonstrations. As Indians, we need to follow the non-violence policy of the Father of the Nation and democratic principles. Mob Rule is a problem not the solution to solve disagreements and differences.
Yours sincerely,
TARUN
