I would like to draw the attention of the govt, regarding the molestation of a college going girl in a (Bus Name) in broad day light. Eve-teasing has always existed in soci­ety since quite a long time, but what used to be a simple joke has reached gigantic proportion so much so that once girls leave the corridors of their home, the parents are worried a lot till the time she returns home. The in­security of the girls is now a primary concern and it is not limited to schools, colleges and society but also to the work place.

Sir,

With due respect, I would like to draw the attention of the concerned authority through your newspaper towards the problem of eve-teasing in the city. It is because of this reason that girls are not feeling safe. The boys make abusive comments to the girls and make them feel uncomfortable. These comments build a sense of uneasiness and create a place of insecurity in the girls. They feel threatened to come out of the house and go anywhere. These boys are creating such a space in the society which does not give respect to the girls. Hence, something needs to be done to end this immediately. An immediate action needs to be done so as to bring an end to this problem. Girls need to live and develop equally and with dignity in this country.

I expect that through your newspaper this issue would be looked upon as soon as possible.
