Dear Ma'am / Sir
SUB: LETTER REGARDING ON IMPORTANCE OF FOREST
Through the esteemed column of your newspaper, I would like to bring to your notice that the forests rate are declining at a rapid pace.
We can never underestimate the importance of forests. We depend on forest for everything, from our everyday needs to luxury items. We already knew that forests provide Oxygen to us. Moreover ,Forests provide us with shelter, livelihoods, water, food and fuel security. All these activities directly or indirectly involve forests. Some are easy to figure out - fruits, paper and wood from trees, and so on. Others are less obvious, such as by-products that go into everyday items like medicines, cosmetics and detergents. In addition, millions of people live in forests. After oceans, forests are the world’s largest storehouses of carbon. They provide ecosystem services that are critical to human welfare.Yet, we are losing them.
I just want to remind people again that Forests are something very important than money. So it is our duty and responsibility to conserve forests. I also hope that the concerned authorities take some immediate actions regarding this issue.
Yours sincerely,
