Subject: Rampant Chain-snatching Incidents
Dear Sir:
I am writing this letter to express my deep concern over the nuisance of increasing crime rate in our locality, Raghpura, and the police’s lack a daisical approach to the gravity of the situation. The incidents jewellery and purse snatching, mobile snatching, eve-teasing are on the increase. There is an atmosphere of insecurity and fear in the entire locality. No resident dares to go even during the broad daylight, not to mention going out after the dark. The most worrying factor is most of these crimes are being done by the teenagers. These crimes are the fallout of their unregulated and unmonitored overexposure to the internet. It really pains to see young teenagers being caught by
police.Quite ironically, they belong to families with respectable background.Being elders it is our moral responsibility to prevent the youngsters from going astray. The schools, the parents, and the government must come together to solve this problem. I hope the concerned authorities will look into the matter and take immediate measures to nip this evil in the bud. I am hopeful that you will help me in sensitizing the concerned authorities, people and organizations by publishing this letter in your reputed daily.
Thanking you.
Yours truly,
xyz

Subject: The menace of stray dogs in our city.
Sir,
Through the columns of your esteemed daily national newspaper, I wish to draw the attention of the Municipal Corporation on the increasing number of stray dogs in almost all our big towns and metro cities.
Stray dogs have many negative impacts on the environment of a city and to the health of the people living in them. Stray dogs cause feces garbage on our localities. They are also responsible for many road accidents.
Another serious danger from stray dogs is that they are not vaccinated and if we are bitten by them we may get infected with rabies which can even lead to lost of life.
I believe that killing all the stray dogs with the help of the police is cruel and not the right approach. The stray dogs must be rounded up and kept in shelters. They should be vaccinated. There are lots of people who loves to keep pet dogs. So, they can be given to people who wanted to adopt them. The government must allocate a special fund to take of the stray dogs in shelters.
I look forward to a positive response and action by the municipality and the government in dealing with the problem of stray dogs.
Yours sincerely
JAGDISH
