Letter to the head of institutions pointing the campus has been defaced during student election

Reverend Sir,
I take this opportunity to congratulate you for getting our new college president. But I would have been equally happy if the elections would have been held in a sanctified manner, keeping in view the ambiance of the college, and keeping in mind to responsibly conducting the elections.
The aftermath I must say, is a sorrowful sight. The college campus looks like a municipality dump yard, with heaps of garbage every here and there. Irresponsible celebrations after winning the elections, and the propaganda has resulted in production of tonnes of paper garbage.
Everywhere the sight of strewn placards, eatables thrown everywhere, and the remains of all the merry and mirth that was a part of the election is making it sick to view.
Obviously the counter reactions of the opposition is also visible, with the destruction of the beautiful lawn. All the parking lights have been broken. Main gate of the West hostel has been broken.
Sir, have the election taken place with proper escort of the local police, and the supervision of them after declaration of the results, it would have saved so much of the college's property. This is disheartening sight to see those property lost to vandalism. It is to sincerely request to keep certain things into sight while the next elections, so that the college property is not destroyed.
Thanking You,
Yours Sincerely,
Matthew George

Subject: Defacement of campus during students’ elections
Sir:
I am writing to your esteemed self to bring to your notice that the college campus has been terribly defaced during the students’ election. Canteen, corridors, wall outside the library, sports room, etc. have been badly defaced. Such liberties should not be given at educational institutions. It is so strange to see the misguided zeal of students these days. They are so enthusiastic when it comes to elections; however, when it comes to education, they are so dull!
I appeal to you to ban defacement of campus and college property. The students, who got their posters put up at various places, must be made responsible for removing them without damaging the walls. I hope you will take prompt action this regard.
Yours faithfully,
Sunil Dhawan
