Sir:
Sub: Setting up Public Library
Dear Sir:
I on behalf of the residents of Model Town Extension write to request you to set up a Public Library facility in our area. Most of the children living here belong to families who have instilled reading habits in them. Besides, ours is a colony of avid readers. Unfortunately, there is no library in our area. We have already made many requests to provide us a permanent library in our area.
Kindly grant us this facility it as early as possible as we don’t want our children to waste their precious time in watching TV or using internet. Reading is the most essential skill that helps children develop many other skills such as reasoning, imagination, focus, confidence, discipline, etc. All the residents are expecting a prompt response from your side. We hope you will look into the matter and do something in this regard.
Thanking you.
Yours truly,
Residents of Model Town Extension
Answer: Usually letters or representations to Municipal , Government Authorities on common cause, should be sent by an Welfare Association or any charity will be helpful to find results. In this case, you also may be try to send the representation of behalf of your residential area, in the merits of an Welfare Association Activistm will do some useful. The letter should clearly mention your area based on Municipal records like, 20th ward, 24th street . Stating around 1000+ young people living with their families Starting a Library will enlighten young to know more, and to keep them read regularly, you may also suggested to get Digital editions of E Books by reading Kindle or Land Monitors in the Library. Finally it may be clearly stated that, if any open place belongs to Municipality or any Govt. Unused Buildings near your area may be utilized for Library purpose, also informed them to collect more books from volunteers to get your Library more books. Hope this may give you an idea to send a letter to the Local Governing Body for Library.
