Respected Sir,

Subject: Burning of garbage near our park.

You may be aware that we have a nice park in our colony. Most of the children go there to play. Some of the mothers go for a walk and take their tiny tots to the park for fresh air. Many old people spend their evenings in the park. Youngsters go there to jog and do exercises. So the park is used by almost everyone in the colony.

It is necessary to keep the park clean and safe. The air should be fresh and pure. Unfortunately, this aspect is being neglected and people are burning garbage near the park. Due to this the air is becoming polluted and may be harmful to the people who visit the park.

I wish to draw your attention to this issue and humbly request you to do the needful. I shall be very grateful to you for this favour.

Thanking you

Yours Sincerely

Rakesh Khanna

Subject: The Hazards of Burning of Garbage

Sir:

I write to you to express my deep anguish over the problem of burning of garbage near the park. Every day the garbage man collects garbage of the colony and burns it near the park. This burning causes lots of inconvenience to the people living near the park.

This garbage has lots of plastic and other dangerous substances in it. When these substances are burnt toxic gases such as nitrogen oxide, heavy metals, particulates, and dioxin are released into the atmosphere. These pose a serious threat to the health of residents, especially the children and the elderly. I appeal to your considerate self to look into the matter and instruct the garbage collector to dispose of the garbage at the right place. Thanking you.

Yours truly,

Samarth
