Dear father ,


I am healthy and happy here. I hope that you and my mother are happy.


The independence day was celebrated at my school yesterday. Early in the morning we had our bath and sang Tagore’s songs. At 6.00 a.m. we assembled on the playground. The N.C.C. of our school gave a guard of honour to the inspector of schools who came to hoist the National Flag. He gave us an inspiring speech. Sweets were distributed. In the evening we enjoyed a variety entertainment offered by my school-mates. Prizes were given to the best performers.


Please convey my regards to my mother and my aunt.
