Dear Mumma,

Hope you are doing great. It's been a long to listen I from you, Hoping that papa is also doing great. Give him my love. As I told you in the last letter my hostel is organizing a conservation week.

Yesterday, I had a seminar based on the conservation of water. A special chief guest was the assistant of the water minister of the nation. He educated us about the importance of water conservation and the ways that can be taken by us to make use of his precious resource. I am listing some ways that can be used domestically at home and can be practiced by all of us at a personal level.

Check your toilet for leaks.

Stop using your toilet as an ashtray or wastebasket.

Put a plastic bottle in your toilet tank.

Take shorter showers.

Install water-saving shower heads or flow restricts.

Take baths.

Turn off the water while brushing your teeth.

Turn off the water while shaving.
