This year we will celebrate your 71st death anniversary. We all miss you and you have now become an icon of non- violence throughout the nation. Many leaders from all over the globe follow your footprints and are glad to do so.
I would like to tell you about how you believed in Cleanliness next to Godliness and how we have taken this as an initiative to launch the “Swach Bharat Abhiyan” In this Abhiyan, we have made sure that we stick to the motto of keeping our nation pollution-free and that we don’t litter around. This was started by our prime minister Shri Narendra Modi and will go on for ages to me.
I know you are here with us and we all will follow your footsteps towards a greener India.
