we know, if two sets A and B are given then, intersection of A and B is the set of all distinct elements that are in both A and B. it is denoted by A\cap B or B\cap A. in figure, shaded region indicates A\cap B.

now come to the question,
here given, A= {3, 5, 7, 9, 11}, B={7, 9, 11, 13 }, C={11, 13, 15} and D={15, 17 }
we have to find A\cap C\cap D
common elements of A , C and D are ; no any common element
so, intersection of A\cap C\cap D = \emptyset

Answer:

A cap C cap D = { } = Empty Set

Step-by-step explanation:

Given A = { 1,2,3,4 }

C = { 11 , 13 , 15 },

D = { 15, 17 }

*********************************

We know that ,

If A , B two sets then

A cap B = { x : x € A and x € B }

****************************************

A cap C cap D

= ( A cap C ) cap D

= ( { 1,2,3,4 } cap { 11,13,15 }) cap D

= { } cap D

= { } cap { 15 , 17 }
