Given:

a_{n} =3n-9

we have to find the value of a_{6} .

Solution:

a_{n} =3n-9

Put n = 1 , 2 , 3, 4, 5 , 6, ....

a_{1} =3(1)-9=-6

a_{2} =3(2)-9=-3

a_{3} =3(3)-9=0

a_{4} =3(4)-9=3

a_{5} =3(5)-9=6

a_{6} =3(6)-9=9

..

Thus,a_{6}=9

=>  a₆ = 3(6) - 9

=> a₆ = 18 - 9

=> a₆ = 9
