let the side of the square is 'x' cm.

then area= x² cm²

if side of square is doubled.I.e.,2x cm

then area becomes = (2x)²=4x²

so, if the side of square is doubled then the area becomes 4 times of the normal area.

length of rectangle =8 cm

breadth of rectangle = 6cm

area of a rectangle = l×b

a=8×6=48cm.

in a right-angled triangle ADC,right angle at D

AC²=AD²‍ + CD²

= 6²+ 8²

=36+64

=100

AC=10

so,diameter =10

radius of circle = d/2=10/2=5cm

area of circle = pi(r)²

=3.14(5)(5)=78.5 cm²

so,area of shaded region = area of circle-area of rectangle

=78.5-48=30.5 cm²
