Li and a proton are accelerated by the same potential, then their

de Broglie wavelengths λ_{Li} and λₚ have the ratio of 1: 3

- the de broglie wavelength of atoms can be given by the formula

    λ = h/\sqrt{2mK}

- here, they are accelerated by the same potential, so that means λ \alpha 1/\sqrt{m}

- so  λ_{Li}/λₚ = \sqrt{mp/mLi}

                 = \sqrt{1/9}

                 = 1/3

- Thus the answer is λ_{Li} : λₚ = 1:3

- so the correct option is (d)
