Suppose their path cross after X Minutes

then according to question.

5 +36x = 47 - 48x

⇔ 5 -47 = -48x -36x

⇔ -42 = -84x

⇔ x = 42/84 = 1/2

now . the number of floors covered by Lian in 1/2 minute = 1/2× 36 = 18

∴ their path cross at = 5+18 = 23
