Lice are small wingless insects that make their home in human hair and feed on very small amounts of blood from the scalp. They can be transferred from person to person and through the use of contaminated items such as brushes or pillows. Which type of disease is lice infestation?

  • Lice are wingless and they feed on the blood of the scalp. Here we are talking about head louse so as far as it is concerned they can easily be transferred by sharing multiple common things like towels ,clothing,comb, bed-sheet ,etc
  • This can be severe if they are in a very large amount .They cause itching ,redness, small red spots and these spots can be very painful while combing
  • As it is present in our hair and suck small amount of blood they are Parasitic in nature.
