Solid sphere: radius = 3cm
Volume = 4/3 * π 3³ = 36 π cm³
Let n solid spheres be dropped into water container.

Area of cross section of the cylindrical container = 81 π cm²

Hence,  n * 36 π = 81 π * 40  cm³
             n = 90
