Lies on monday, tuesday and wednesday, but tells the truth on all other ys. Vishal tells lies on thursday ,friday and saturday and tells the truth on all other days. If they both both say "yesterday i lied", then what is today?

The correct answer is Thursday!

And the explanation is as follows:

The first person lies from Monday to Wednesday and the second person lies from Thursday to Saturday.

Both of them tells the truth on Sundays.

But here there is no such pattern where both of them said the truth on a day and lied the day before; since the first person doesn't lie on Saturdays.

So now we know that one of them is lying.

There is only one pattern where this is true for the given conditions, that is on Thursday. (The person is lying today but telling the truth yesterday)

So, the second person is lying on Thursday saying that he/she lied yesterday and the first person is saying the truth that he/she lied yesterday. Yesterday is Wednesday and today is Thursday.
