No, according to me life cannot be continued to exist in the absence of sunlight.

Because we know that , through the help of sunlight the green plants make their food by the process of photosynthesis, and the plants are called the producers and we are the consumers as we consume food from the plants and they produce us.

Also from the sunlight we can get the Vitamin D which is needed to keep bones, teeth and muscles healthy.
