These 12 Years —->>1155–1167. These very eventful twelve years, are immensely important to the history of Kannada Literature ….simply because ..it was in these twelve years a new form of literature native to KANNADA—’The Vachana Literature’flourished.
Basava(1105–1168) was the propagator and was also the one who amplified this literary form, through his social revolution. He has authored 1414 Vachanas.
Vachana means Saying or Assuring.
Thanks!

channabasavanna was Basava's nephew and one of the foremost Shivasharanas of the 12th century. He, along with Basava, Allama Prabhu and Akka Mahadevi, played a pivotal role in the propagation of the Veerashaiva faith. He also wrote the Karana Hasuge which is one of the most sacred texts of the Veerashaivas.
