WRT the lesson The sermon in benaras, Kisa Gautami faces the inevitable problem of death of a loved one, she searches everywhere for a solution to the death of her child. She meets a man telling her to go to the Buddha who may be able to help her.
The Buddha then tells her to find mustard seeds from a house where no one has died. This is impossible for Kisa as there is no such house. She stumbles upon the lesson that in her search for a remedy for her son she forgets that not only her but, everyone suffers from grief. One can only overcome this problem by facing it with enough courage to keep moving forward. Such trials and tribulations are faced by humanity consistently and one is equipped to face these trails with courage.
