Because most of the frigid zones are at very very very low level of temperatures. So it is also often for breathing.

The climate of the frigid zone is as follows: a It is the coldest place on the Earth. b.Strong cold winds and blizzards(snow storms) blow in this region. c.They have short summers and very long winters .It is during the short summers that snow melts in small stretches .

if i would had to live on frigid zone i could not had able to adjust my body temperature as the temperature of frigid zone is very low as compared to earth.
