The 67.7 million people belonging to the STs in India are generally considered to be ( Adivasis). They are socially , economically backwards. They are not developed. They said that we are the sons of God and Nature and only they will save us , only they will give us food, and we only want them.

When the colonial rule came the country most tribals societies came to an end. The British wanted to keep the tribals far from them because they were good and brave warriors. The Britishers bought lands from them instead of food and clothings . They cheat with them by their extra business mind.

Some tribals understood their strategy and did many revolts against them like on 30 June 1855 a revolt was done by ( Sidhu Murmu and Kanhu Murmu ).

In 1899-1900 a second revolt was done by ( Birsa Munda) in south of Ranchi.
