women were safe than they are facing problem now. but, at that time women don't have freedom to do what ever that they want to do they were controlled by men of there house.

Women’s rights have changed a lot over the last 200 years. Women have more rights than before because back then, woman didn’t have the rights to do stuff compared to the rights they have now. Some Women in certain parts of the world still don’t have freedom to have a say in anything.

200 years ago, women in the 1800’s  didn’t have the rights to vote,own property, and couldn’t get jobs to help provide for their family. Also, women weren’t allowed to go to school and get an education, so woman stayed home instead and took care of their family and house all day. Women weren’t allowed to file for divorces either, so picking the right husband was very tough. Nowadays, women can file for divorces, go to school, vote, and own property, because they have the right to do so.

Not all parts of the world give women the rights they deserve. Women in muslim countries such as Saudi Arabia don’t have the same rights as women do in other countries, such as Canada, or the United States. Women aren’t allowed to go out of their house to earn an education, vote in elections, or even to get jobs. Also, Saudi Arabia is the only country in the world that doesn’t allow women to drive, which I think is unfair.
