Plants take in carbon dioxide and release oxygen via the process of photosynthesis. If there were no plants or tree our exhale, containing carbon dioxide would not be taken in by plants and converted to oxygen which will cause a rapid rise of carbon dioxide which will end humanity as carbondioxide is fatal for humans. There will be no chance of humanity existing without plants, not for too long.
