Knowledge gained through experience is far superior to and many times more useful
than theoretical knowledge.
Discuss the above statement in the light of the fact that the hermit did not answer the
king's questions as soon as they were put to him.

Topic.

Knowledge gained through experience is far superior to and many times more useful than theoretical knowledge.......

Ans-

Knowledge gained through experience is completely clear and understood. There is nothing left to be known or realised. The person or learner comes to know what, how, when and where to do. The hermit of the story answered the King's questions practically to make him understand and satisfied fully. If he had not done so the answers might not have been clear to the king.

So, knowledge through experience is far superior to and many times more useful than theoretical knowledge........

Hope this will help u mate.....

Answer:

Hermit did not answer the king's question as soon as they were put to him, as he waited for appropriate time. He answer it from real life experience which was more useful for the king. He wanted the king to get the answers practically but not theoretically. Therefore we can also say 'actions speak louder than words'. King must have understood the answers and got satisfaction. If hermit had not done so, then the answers might not have become clear to the king.
