u ( refractive index) = (speed in vacuum)
/ (speed in medium)

u =( 3×10^8 ms^-1 )/ ( speed in glass )

speed in glass = (3×10^8)/ (1.5)
= 2×10^8 ms^-1

Answer:

2×10^8 m/s.

Explanation:

If we take the refractive index of the glass to be µ which is given in the question as 1.5. The speed of the light is also given in the question as 3*10^8 m/s.

So, we know that the refractive index is given by the formulae of µ= speed of the light in vacuum/speed of the light in medium.

µ=3×10^8/speed of the light in glass.

So, on solving we will get the speed of the light in glass = (3×10^8)/ (1.5)= 2×10^8 m/s.
