we knew that,

refractive index = speed of light in vaccum/ speed of light in medium

speed of light in glass = speed of light in vaccum / refractive index

= 3× 10^8/1.50

= 3× 10^8/150×10^2

=10^6/50

=10^5/5

=2× 10^5

Hey Buddy ❤

Your Answer -

Given :

Speed of light in vacuum, c = 3 × 10^8 m/s

Refractive index of glass = 1.50

Formula :

Refractive index of a medium = Speed of light in vacuum/Speed of light in the medium

Solution :

Speed of light in the glass

= Speed of light in vacuum/ Refractive index of glass

=3 × 10^8/1.50

= 2x 10^8 ms-1
