Give that wave length 500 nm and then glass plate had 1.5 wave length of the light in the vacuum. then 2x108 ms-1 and here the light in the glass go = λvng = 550 nm1.5 = 300 nm. and you need to calculate the velocity and also wavelength of light which is more comfortable for the student to with no risk and trouble of it.
