Answer:

speed = 2.25×10^8 m/s

wavelength = 4.5×10^-7m

Explanation:

as we know,,

wavelength of light (lambda) = 6000A

= 6000×10^-10m

= 6×10^-7m

refractive index = 4/3

speed of light (c) = 3×10^8m/s

to be calculate,,

1) speed or velocity of light

2) wavelength of light

solution,,

as we know,,

c = lambda× frequency

3×10^8m/s = 6×10^-7m × f

0.5×10^15 s^-1 = f

5×10^14 hz = f

as,refractive index(¢) =c (in medium)/v (in vaccum)

so, 4/3 = (3×10^8)/(v)

v = 3×10^8×3/4

v = 2.25×10^8 m/s

after that,,

as, c replaces by v

so v = lambda× frequency

2.25×10^8ms^-1 = lambda× 5×10^14s^-1

lambda = 0.45×10^-6m

wavelength = 4.5×10^-7 m

plz check the answer....if it is wrong.u can report it.
