light propagates faster than through a Medium A than through an Medium B. (a) Which of the two mesia has a higher optical density? (b) State the condition under which no change in the direction of propagation of light ray would take place when it passes from Medium A to Medium B.​

(a). Medium B has higher optical density because ray travels comparatively slower in it.

(b). When the ray strikes at normal to the plane of contact of two mediums, then no refraction takes place.
