◆As we can apply the Snell’s law,
n1/n2 = sin(r)/sin(i)
In case of critical angle,
r = 90 degrees
i = C = critical angle
and n1/n2 is the refractive index of the glass with respect to air. (i.e. 1.5)
Therefore,
1.5 = 1/sin(C)
C = sin^(-1)(1/1.5)
C = 41.81 degrees
n1/n2 = sin(r)/sin(i)
In case of critical angle,
r = 90 degrees
i = C = critical angle
and n1/n2 is the refractive index of the glass with respect to air. (i.e. 1.5)
Therefore,
1.5 = 1/sin(C)
C = sin^(-1)(1/1.5)
C = 41.81 degrees
