Lighting and thunder take place at a same time but lighting is seen earlier and thunder is heard later because THE SPEED OF LIGHT( 3×10 raised to power 18 m/s) is FASTER ⚡than the SPEED OF SOUND( 343 m/s)

Yes this statement is true because lights travels in very high speed than the speed of the sound so we first able to see only lightening and then after that thundering.

And we talk about earth the light reach to earth in a very high speed as of thunder so at the time of lightening we will first see first light then thunder.
