The palanquin bearers

in this poem, we see a bride being carried to the royal palace in a decorated palanquin. it is written in such a way that one can see and feel as if the palanquin is moving.the words she used seem to have a magic touch.

the mostly used literary devices are similes, refrains, and alteration similes in the poem are "she falls like a tear, she springs like a beam, she hangs like a star, she sways like a flower, and she skims like a bird. the alteration uses in the poem are "she -skims,she-sways,like-laugh-lips,gaily-glide, and beam-brow". the refrain used in the poem is "we bear her along like a pearl on the string".

the rhyme scheme of the poem is aa, bb, cc. some of the rhymes used in this poem are along-song, and sing -string.
