Like you and all other living organisms in the world,plants needs water and nutrients from the environment in order to survive.Different parts of plants are involved in transport of water and nutrients.These parts are roots,stem,leaves.The transport system of plant works similar to your circulatory system.However,plants don’t have a pumping organs like human instead they have vascular tissue i.e. xylem and phloem.plant root absorbs the water and mineral from soil.The root possess root hair which increase the surface area of the root for absorption of water and mineral nutrients that dissolve in water.It is moved from roots up to the stem and leaves through xylem.The food made by plant is transported to different parts by phloem. Q5.When the absorbed water reaches the leaves only a small fraction is used for the process of photosynthesis.What happens to the rest of the water?
