6b + 5n = 101 and b + n = 18 is the system of equations can be used to find b, the number of bracelets she sold, and n, the number of necklaces she sold

Solution:

According to question,

‘b’ used to represent the number of bracelets she sold and ‘n’ be the number of necklaces she sold.

Also bracelets sold for $6 each and necklaces for $5 each for a total of $101

Now , the system of equation will be

number of braclets sold x cost of one bracelet + number of neckalce sold x cost of one necklace

6b + 5n = 101 …………. (1)

Also, Lily sold 18 items at the street fair

Number of bracelets sold + number of necklace sold = 18

b + n = 18      ………………….(2)

Eqn 1 and Eqn 2 are the system of equations can be used to find b, the number of bracelets she sold, and n, the number of necklaces she sold

Now let us solve eqn 1 and eqn 2

n = 7 and b = 11

So, she sold 11 bracelets and 7 necklaces
