First, we have to find their areas.

Area of Square chart paper/Area of rectangular card

60*60/8*6

75 cards

Area left = 3600 - (75*48)

= 3600/3600

= 1 sq meter

Answer:

a. =75 Cards

b. =3562cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

=>Area of rectangular card = 8cm * 6cm

=48cm^2

=>Area of square chart paper=(a)^2

=60cm*60cm

=3600cm^2

=>cards can be made =(3600/48)cards

=75 cards

=>area of 75 cards. =75 cards*48 cm^2

=3600cm^2

=>Area still left =(3600/3600)cm^2

=1 cm^2

hope it helps you
