the lime water forms milky when carbon dioxide is passes through it because of the formation of water insoluble precipitate ---> CaCO3 ( calcium carbonate)
if we still continously pass CO2 gas then it will form Calcium bicarbonate.
when calcium bicarbonate forms the milky colour will disappear !!!
