limewater turns milky when co2 is passed through it give reason

Because Co2 reacts with calcium carbonate and water to form calcium bicarbonate Ca(HCO)3.

because when co2 is mixed with lime water then it react with calcium hydroxide ,then the calcium carbonate is formed which is white in colour ....therefore the limewater turns milky
