lim _{x -  > 0}  {3 \sqrt{1 + x} } -  \frac{1}{x}  \\  =  > lim _{x -  > 0} = ( \frac{3x\sqrt{1 + x} - 1 }{x} ) \\ put \: x \:  = 0 \\ we \: get ....\:  \\ lim _{x -  > 0}  =  \frac{3(0) \sqrt{1 + 0 }  - 1}{0}   =   \frac{ - 1}{0}  =  \infty  \\ hence \: lim _{x -  > 0}  {3 \sqrt{1 + x} } -  \frac{1}{x} \:  =  \infty
