kinetic theory of gases has limitation when it come to the condensed state of matter liquid state -kinetic theory does not fully explain deep properties of liquid therefore the volume of liquid increase with increasing in temperature ,but not as in gases

The kinetic theory of gases describes a gas as a large number of submicroscopic particles (atoms or molecules), all of which are in constant, rapid, random motion. ... The theory posits that gas pressure results from particles' collisions with the walls of a container at different velocities.
